Gülhanım Dalan, born in 1980 and a citizen of Turkey, is a leading figure in the field of advanced materials development and industrial solutions based on nanotechnology. With over two decades of experience in nanocomposites, she has focused her work on transforming scientific knowledge into practical, industry-ready solutions.
Since 2018, she has been collaborating with Yeditepe University in Turkey, and since 2022, she has actively pursued the commercialization of her research outcomes. Her work is consistently driven by real industrial needs, aiming to deliver solutions that lead to improved product quality, increased efficiency, and reduced production costs.
Her projects and achievements are primarily focused on the following areas:
- Development and production of advanced materials based on graphene and carbon nanotubes
- Design of polymer additives to enhance mechanical and physical properties
- Development of next-generation energy storage systems with improved efficiency and reduced weight
- Design and production of impact- and heat-resistant materials and structures
- Development of functional coatings and films for industrial applications (waterproof, anti-corrosion, thermal and acoustic insulation)
- Production of high-strength transparent advanced composites
- Development of innovative solutions in clean energy and solar cell technologies
In addition to her research activities, her core expertise lies in industrial consulting in the fields of polymers, coatings, and composites, focusing on solving production challenges and delivering solutions that improve performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Continuing her professional journey, she is now developing NEXAR in the United Arab Emirates, creating a platform for transforming advanced research into scalable industrial products. NEXAR represents the next step in her vision to build a technology ecosystem based on advanced materials and sustainable solutions.
